Kuwait Amir congratulates Namibia on nat'l day

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah congratulated on Friday the President of Namibia Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah on her country's national day.
His Highness the Amir wished, in the cable addressed to President Nandi-Ndaitwah, more success and welfare and her people development and progress.
Kuwait Amir congratulates Tunisia on Independence Day

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulations to the President of Tunisia Kais Saied on his country's Independence Day.
His Highness the Amir wished the Tunisian President long lasting health and wellness, and further progress and prosperity to Tunisia and its people.
He also wished that the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries would grow further.
Kuwait Amir visits Disabled Sport Club

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah as well as other senior state officials, paid a visit to Kuwait Disabled Sport Club (KDSC) on Tuesday evening.
He was warmly welcomed by Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdullah Al-Salem and KDSC Board Chairman Shafi Al-Hajeri.
Expressing holy Ramadan wishes for the audience in a speech, His Highness the Amir said, "Together with my brother His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah and my brother companions, we are pleased to congratulate you on the holy month of Ramadan." "We pray for Allah, the Almighty, to repeat this holy month several times and grant you, the dear homeland and the Arab and Muslim nation abundance of blessings and boons," he said.
Renewing the state's support to the disabled "people with strong will and endurance," he said, "We reassure them that they are heroes in our eyes and badges on our chests. With their resolve and determination, they are able to make achievements whatever difficulties or challenges might be. They are a source of inspiration for every sincere citizen in our dear homeland." His Highness the Amir noted that the State of Kuwait was one of the first countries that attached great importance to care for the people with disability in terms of health, education, sports and training, citing the legislations ensuring decent living "in the country of humanitarianism." Recalling the first public awareness forum "caring for you is our goal," he appreciated the efforts of the state bodies to build the capacity of the disabled in sport through cooperation with the competent regional and international organizations.
His Highness the Amir took pride in the achievements recently made by Kuwaiti athletes with disabilities in international sports events.
He urged them to continue training and the competent state bodies to continue motivating them and improving their skills.
On his part, KDSC Chairman Shafi Al-Hajeri expressed, on behalf of the Club's members and management, the holy Ramadan wishes for His Highness the Amir, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
He recalled the achievements made by KDSC members since 1977, noting that the number of athletes with disabilities representing Kuwait at international Paralympics grew from 30 to 350, males and females, in the past four and a half decades.
He noted that the Kuwaiti athletes were able to make outstanding achievements in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, citing the shotput gold medalist Faisal Sorour and the bronze medalist Faisal Al-Rajehi of the the 5000m wheelchair race.
Al-Hajeri expressed gratitude for His Highness the Amir's visit to the Club, promising that the Club will continue doubling its efforts to foster the skills of its members.
Kuwait Amir visits Nabat Poets' Diwaniya

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, visited Nabat Poets' Diwaniya on Monday evening.
Upon arrival, His Highness the Amir was warmly welcomed by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and secretary of Nabat Poets' Diwaniya's Nassar Al-Khamsan.
In his speech, His Highness the Amir said: "From the minaret of poetry, we meet again with you. Together with my brother His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah and my brother companions. We all congratulate you on the holy month of Ramadan." "We pray to Allah, the Almighty, to repeat this holy month several times and grant you, the dear homeland and the Arab and Muslim nation abundance of blessings and boons," he said.
"We proudly remind you of the founder of this Diwaniya, the late Amir Sheikh Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, who realized the outstanding position of this poetry in making history and heritage," His Highness the Amir noted. His Highness the Amir referred to the directives of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, who attended the inauguration ceremony of the Diwaniya and loved Kuwait so much.
His Highness the Amir expressed pride that Kuwait has a Nabat Poets' Diwaniya, a symbol of history and heritage, and a bridge linking last with present, that aims to maintain Nabat poetry heritage.
His Highness the Amir appreciated the efforts of Diwaniya's officials to back poets to achieve national spirit and allegiance to the dear homeland and the leadership.
His Highness the Amir urged poets to preserve fathers and grandfathers' identity, and benefit from senior poets.
On naming Kuwait as the capital of Arab culture for 2025, His Highness the Amir also instructed intensifying holding several symposiums and meetings in the country to be a chance to help poets learn and share expertise. Meanwhile, Al-Khamsan delivered a speech in which he warmly welcomed His Highness the Amir and expressed pride for this visit, which showed His Highness the Amir's much attention to heritage, culture and communication with society.
He stressed that Diwaniya's message will continue, noting that it is inspired by His Highness the Amir's directives, which confirm the key role of culture and poetry in boosting national identity.
He revealed that they are working on expanding Nabat poetry in all governorates to highlight "our cultural heritage in all national occasions".
He wished His Highness the Amir success to make further progress and prosperity to homeland, praying to Allah, the Almighty, to bestow everlasting good health on His Highness the Amir.
Finally, poets Faisal Al-Adwai and Yusuf Al-Shatti read out two poems, which highly pleased audience.
Kuwait Amir receives phone call from UAE Pres.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a phone call on Thursday from President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
During the call, the two leaders discussed the strong and longstanding brotherly relations between the State of Kuwait and the UAE. They also addressed various issues of mutual interest, in addition to regional and international developments.
Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed expressed his sincere wishes for the continued health and well-being of His Highness the Amir and for further growth and prosperity of the State of Kuwait under His Highness the Amir's wise leadership.
In response, His Highness the Amir voiced his appreciation to Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed for the call, which reflects the deep and firm ties between the two nations and their peoples. He also extended his wishes for the continued progress and prosperity of the United Arab Emirates under the wise leadership of Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed.
Kuwait Amir pays visit to Kuwait Blind Association

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah visited on Tuesday Kuwait Blind Association (KPA).
Accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and His Highness the Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
His Highness was received by Minister of Social Affairs, Family and Childhood Affairs, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwaila, Kuwait Blind Association Director, Fayiz Al-Azmi, and the Association's Secretary General Mansour Al-Enezi.
In his speech, His Highness the Amir congratulated the association on the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his pride in all the efforts of the association in helping and supporting those with vision impairment issues.
He appreciated the association member's efforts to their country through sports, events, seminars, and many others, especially the first Al-Baghli Holy Quran Competition for the Blind at the GCC countries level.
His Highness reaffirmed the rights of those with vision impairment, reminding both the public and private sectors to provide them with adequate support, especially through modern technology to ensure they benefit from it.
Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kuwait Blind Association Fayiz Al-Azmi also delivered a speech on this occasion, in which he said, "On behalf of the members of the Kuwait Blind Association, I extend my warmest congratulations and blessings to His Highness the Amir on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan." "I also extend my warmest congratulations to His Highness the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, and all residents of this blessed land. I ask Allah Almighty to have many returns of this blissed occasion to Kuwait under the leadership of His Highness the Amir." "Since its founding in 1972, the Kuwait Blind Association has been honored to visit the former Amir's of Kuwait," Al-Azmi said.

Kuwait Amir, Egypt Pres. discuss bilateral ties in phone call

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a phone call from Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi on Tuesday, to discuss bilateral ties and the recent regional and international developments.
During the call, Al-Sisi wished His Highness the Amir a long healthy life, while His Highness Sheikh Meshal, on his part, thanked him for his kind feelings that reflect the two countries' strong relations, wishing the Egyptian President a long healthy life.

Kuwait Amir visits Kuwait Sport Club for Deaf KUWAIT, March 17 (KUNA) -- His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah as well as other senior state officials, paid a visit to Kuwait Sport Club for Deaf (KSCD) on Monday evening.
Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Sport Bashar Abdullah Al-Salem and KSCD Board Chairman Anwar Manif Al-Harbi.

He reaffirmed the state's support for the club, appreciating the achievements recently made by its members in regional sports events, citing as an example the bowling player who was able to reach the quarterfinal of the 10th Asia Pacific Deaf Games in Malaysia last December.
He stated support to the Club's bid to host an international shooting championship and a regional Arabian Gulf chess championship.
His Highness the Amir instructed the competent state authorities to give more care for the deaf in the health, education, sports, training and social areas, and introduce the latest technological devices such as smart glasses.
He wished the members of the Club success in all international sports events to raise Kuwait's national flag high.
KSCD Chairman Anwar Al-Harbi delivered a speech to extol His Highness the Amir for his visit and care for the Club.
His Highness the Amir received a souvenir as a token of appreciation, and then signed his name at the Club's register of honor.
