His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and visiting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev oversaw on Monday the signing of four agreements during official rounds of talks.
Present at the signing ceremony at Bayan Palace were His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
The first agreement between the two countries focused on expanding cooperation within labor force in the private sector. It was signed by First Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yusuf and Uzbek Foreign Minister Baxtiyor Saidov.
The second agreement was a protocol to amend an agreement on air cargo cooperation signed by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya and his Uzbek counterpart Saidov.
The third agreement was develop cooperation between the two sides within the domain of smart cities. It was signed Minister of State for Municipal Affairs and Minister of State for Housing Abdullatif Al-Meshari and Uzbek Foreign Minister Saidov.
The fourth agreement was within the sector of industrial cooperation sign by Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Askar and Uzbekistan's Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment Laziz Kudratov.

Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the accompanying delegation arrived in Kuwait on Monday on an official visit to the country.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received the visiting Uzbek President and delegation at the international airport.
Also present were Chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Sheikh Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Advisor at the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Al-Mousherji, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya and other senior officials of the state.
Amiri Diwan Advisor Mohammad Abulhasan heads the honor delegation.
President Shavkat heads a delegation of senior state officials and ministers.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulations on Sunday to Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir wished the President of Lithuania lasting health and wellness, and further progress and prosperity for his country and people.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Friday a cable to new Greek President Konstantinos Tasoulas, congratulating him on assuming the post. His Highness the Amir commended outstanding relations between Kuwait and Greece, wishing Greece more progress and prosperity, and the new president everlasting wellbeing.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah held on Monday at Bayan Palace a luncheon in honor of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and the accompanying delegation on their official visit to the country.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent Friday a cable of congratulations to Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on the occasion of the 24th anniversary of the Kingdom's National Action Charter.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir commended Bahrain's prominent development achievements covering various domains under the King's leadership, wishing the King good health and wellness, and further progress and prosperity for his country.
