The Amiri Diwan on Wednesday mourned the passing away of Sheikh Jaber Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah at the age of 71.
The funeral service is scheduled to take place after Maghreb (sunset) prayers tomorrow (Thursday).

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent Tuesday a cable to President of Egypt Abdulfattah Al-Sisi, congratulating him on the anniversary of the July 23rd revolution.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir praised the historical and firm relations between Kuwait and Egypt, wishing the Egyptian President good health and wellness and to Egypt and its people progress and prosperity.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences on Monday to President of Vietnam To Lam, expressing sincere condolences over the passing of late president Nguyen Phu Trong.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir asked (His Almighty) Allah to grant his family and relatives patience and solace.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Sunday a cable of congratulations to King Philippe of Belgium, on occasion of the country's national day.
His Highness the Amir wished the King good health and the people of Belgium all progress and prosperity.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent Wednesday a cable of condolences to Chinese President Xi Jinping, expressing sincere condolences over fatalities inflicted in collapse of a bridge in Shaanxi province due to flash floods.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Monday a cable of congratulations to Ursula von der Leyen on being re-elected to a second five-year term as president of the European Commission.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir wished her success and long-lasting health, as well as praised the existing cooperation between Kuwait and the European Union in all fields.

An Amiri decree has been issued appointing a new board of directors of Kuwait Ports Authority (KPA) for a three-year term of office.
The newly named board comprises Alya Aryan, Bashaer Al-Ghanim, Yousef Al-Eseri, Amer Al-Bader, director general of the General Administration of Customs, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Ports and Border Security and Assistant Director General of the General Directorate of Coast Guard.
Under the decree, each board member will be paid KD 5,000 per annum.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah at Seif Palace Sunday.
His Highness the Amir also received His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, as well as First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
