His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a congratulatory cable to the Governor-General of New Zealand, Cindy Kiro, on her country's National Day.
In the Cable, His Highness the Amir wished the Governor-General good health and wellbeing, and more progress and prosperity for New Zealand and its people.

An Amiri decree has been issued, accepting the resignation of Minister of Information and Culture Abdullah Boftain and naming Minister of State for Communication Affairs and Information Technology Omar Al-Omar, in addition to his post, as Acting Minister of Information and Culture.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulations on Wednesday to the President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Anura Kumara Dissanayake on his country's National Day.
His Highness the Amir wished the President good health and further progress and prosperity for Sri Lanka and its people.

His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received on Monday at Bayan Palace the President of the Swiss Confederation, Guy Parmelin, on his official visit to Kuwait. The meeting was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.
Official reception ceremonies were held in honor of the Swiss President, beginning with the playing of the national anthems of both countries. His Highness the Amir then greeted members of the official delegation accompanying President Parmelin, while the Swiss President shook hands with senior Kuwaiti officials.
Subsequently, official talks were held between the State of Kuwait and the Swiss Confederation. The Kuwaiti side was chaired by His Highness the Amir, while the Swiss side was chaired by President Parmelin, in the presence of the Crown Prince, the Prime Minister, and senior officials from both countries.
Minister of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah stated that the talks touched on the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and peoples, and ways to support and develop them across various fields. The discussions also focused on expanding frameworks of cooperation between Kuwait and Switzerland to broader horizons in a manner that serves their mutual interests.
He added that the talks addressed key issues of common concern, as well as the latest regional and international developments, with an exchange of views on these matters.
In honor of President Parmelin and the accompanying official delegation, a luncheon banquet was held on his official visit, attended by His Highness the Crown Prince, His Highness the Prime Minister, and senior state officials.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable on Thursday, enveloped with profound gratitude and deep appreciation to UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan for launching the "Celebrating Decades of Brotherhood" initiative.
His Highness the Amir also extended his gratitude to UAE Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum in this regard.
His Highness emphasized that this eventful initiative reflects the depth of the historic fraternal ties that unite the two countries and embodies the cohesion of the joint Gulf action, as well as the solidarity of its leaders and peoples throughout history.
His Highness, according to an Amiri Diwan statement, wished for continued progress, prosperity, and well-being to the UAE and its people under the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan.

In presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah, and Al-Sabah family members, a luncheon was held by Sheikh Ali Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at Azayez farm in Kuwait's northern Al-Abdali area on Wednesday.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received at Bayan Palace on Tuesday, the Kingdom of Bahrain's Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa and the official delegation accompanying him, on the occasion of his official visit to the country.
The reception was attended by His Highness the Crown Prince, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
Prince Salman conveyed to His Highness the Amir, the greetings and appreciation of King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, and his wishes for His Highness the Amir, long-lasting health and for the people of Kuwait further progress and prosperity.
His Highness the Amir conveyed his greetings to King Hamad wishing him continued good health, and the people of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
During the meeting, cordial discussions took place, reflecting the deep-rooted historical relations between the two countries and their peoples, and ways to strengthen these relations across various fields to serve their common interests.
They also reviewed issues of mutual concern and the latest developments regionally and internationally.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs, Retired Lieutenant General Jamal Al-Dhiyab Director of the Office of His Highness the Amir, Sheikh Abdulaziz Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah Undersecretary of the Amiri Diwan, and Mazen Al-Issa Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs at the Amiri Diwan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in attendance of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, received at Bayan Palace on Monday His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who presented their highnesses with the newly appointed ministers.
The Ministers took the constitutional oath on occasion of their appointments; Osama Khaled Boodai swore in as Minister of Commerce and Industry, Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Reem Ghazi Al-Fulaij as Minister of State for Development and Sustainability Affairs.
As for Dr. Tareq Hamad Al-Jalahma he took the oath to become Minister of State for Youth and Sport Affairs, Abdulaziz Nasser Al-Marzouq swore in as Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, and Dr. Yaqoub Al-Sayed Yousef Al-Refaei as Minister of Finance.
Attending the ceremony were First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah, Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Sabah, and top Amiri Diwan officials.
