The 46th GCC Summit convened in Manama on Wednesday with the participation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The summit is chaired by King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain, with the attendance of GCC leaders or their representatives, while Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni is participating as the Guest of Honor.
The summit is held amid strong interest by GCC leaders in supporting the Gulf cooperation process and enhancing its institutional capabilities to meet the aspirations of Gulf peoples and strengthen the Council's role in addressing regional developments and advancing Arab causes.
Over the past two days, Manama hosted a series of coordination meetings for foreign ministers and officials from ministerial and technical committees, during which they discussed the draft final communique and summit declaration, and agreed to refer their recommendations to the Supreme Council for approval at the 46th summit.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the accompanying delegation arrived on Wednesday in Manama, Bahrain, to head Kuwait's delegation to the 46th GCC Summit.
His Highness the Amir and the accompanying delegation were received by the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa.
Also in reception were the personal representative of Bahrain's King Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, GCC Secretary General Jassem Al-Budaiwi, Bahrain Foreign Minister Abdullatif Al-Zayani, Minister of Finance and National Economy of Bahrain Sheikh Salman bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Bahraini Minister of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture Wael Al-Mubarak, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Awqaf (Endowment) Nawaf Al-Maawda, Minister of Information Ramzan Al-Noaimi, and Governor of the Southern Governorate Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Khalifa, and the ambassadors of both countries.
His Highness the Amir's delegation includes Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, Director General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Head of His Highness the Amir's Office Retired Lieut-General Jamal Al-Theyab, Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs at the Amiri Diwan Mazen Al-Essa, and Assistant Foreign Minister for GCC Affairs Ambassador Najeeb Al-Bader.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation will depart on Wednesday, heading to Bahrain to chair the Kuwaiti delegation at the 46th Regular Session of the Supreme Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Tuesday a cable of congratulations to the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on the advent of his country's the 54th National Day.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal lauded the vast achievements and developments in the UAE, expressing pride in the strength of ties and affirming eagerness to bolstering them in all possible domains.
His Highness the Amir wished further progress and development for the UAE under the country's wise leadership.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Wednesday at his residence in Bahrain the Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the accompanying delegation.
The meeting focused on means to bolster the strong ties in all possible sectors to achieve the interests of both countries.
The meeting also touched on issues of mutual interest and recent regional and international developments.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the accompanying delegation departed Kuwait on Wednesday, heading to Bahrain to attend the 46th GCC Summit.
Seeing His Highness the Amir at the international airport were His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Amiri Diwan Affairs Minister Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah congratulated in a cable on Tuesday the President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith on the advent of his country's National Day.
His Highness the Amir expressed wishes of good health and welfare to the President and his people.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Monday a cable to President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, expressing condolences over the tragic loss of life and widespread damage to property caused by floods and landslides in Sumatra Island and several other areas in Indonesia.
His Highness the Amir expressed sincere condolences over fatalities, wished speedy recovery for the injured and for Indonesia to overcome the repercussions of this natural disaster.
