On behalf of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud decorated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah with King Abdulaziz Medal in recognition and appreciation for His Highness.

In presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammadآ Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Al-Quds Fund and Endowment, Prince Turki Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, and Al-Sabah family members, a luncheon was held by Sheikh Ali Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at Azayez farm in Kuwait's northern Al-Abdali area on Wednesday.

A Kuwaiti flag-hoisting ceremony took place at Bayan Palace on Wednesday under the patronage, and in presence, of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, President of Kuwait's Supreme Judicial Council, the head of the Court of Cassation Adel Bouresli and senior state officials, attended the event. The motorcade of His Highness the Amir arrived at the venue, given a 21-gun salute and warm welcome by the personnel of the Army, Police and National Guard. His Highness the Amir then hoisted the flag and the National Anthem was played.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and an official delegation accompanying him arrived in Kuwait Tuesday after a state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. His Highness the Amir was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Duaij Khalifa Al-Malek Al-Sabah, Sheikh Salem Abdulaziz Al-Saud Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Ahmad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Sheikh Dr. Ali Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, Sheikh Fahad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and senior Amiri Diwan officials.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Wednesday a cable from Interim President of Republic of Mali Assimi Goita, congratulating His Highness on assuming office. In the cable, the president wished His Highness the Amir success and good health, and further progress and prosperity to Kuwait. His Highness the Amir sent a reply cable to the president, expressing his sincere gratitude and appreciation for his heartfelt sentiments.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Wednesday a cable of congratulations to Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, on taking the oath of office. His Highness the Amir wished the King of Malaysia success and good health and further development and progress for the good relationship between Kuwait and Malaysia.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable on Tuesday to Saudi Arabia Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, thanking him for the warm hospitality during his visit to the Kingdom. In his cable, His Highness the Amir added that such welcome reflected the historical relations and kinship that bind the two countries. His Highness the Amir noted as his first foreign visit to the Kingdom since assuming office, he praise the high position held by the kingdom and its pivotal and important role at the regional and international arenas, stressing keenness to consolidate the relations further that bring together the two brotherly countries and peoples. His Highness the Amir also expressed his deep thanks and gratitude for granting him King Abdulaziz Order, stressing on this occasion his great pride in this generous fraternal gesture. His Highness the Amir finally expressed best wishes for the Kingdom, its progress and prosperity under Prince Mohammad's wise leadership.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and an official delegation accompanying him departed Saudi Arabia after a state visit on Tuesday. His Highness the Amir was seen off by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud and several senior state officials.
