His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Tuesday paid a visit to Ataturk's mausoleum in Ankara, the Turkish capital. His Highness the Amir laid a garland of flowers and signed the honor book.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the accompanying delegation left Kuwait on Tuesday heading to Turkiye on an official state visit. Also present at the depature were Deputy Chairman of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Minister of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Abdullah Al-Mousherji, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Dr. Imad Mohammad Al-Atiqi, and senior state officials. His Highness teh Amir is accompanied by an official delegation, which includes Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Dr. Anwar Al-Mudhaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, and senior officials from the Amiri Diwan and Foreign Ministry.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the accompanying delegation would depart Kuwait on Tuesday, May 7, to Turkiye on a state visit.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences to the Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud on the demise of Prince Badr bin Abdulmohsen bin Abdulaziz. His Highness the Amir sent a cable of identical content to the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud. The Caretaker Prime Minister, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, also sent a cable of solace to the Saudi Monarch Salman and the Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

His Highness the Amir was welcomed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance and Chief of the Accompanying Mission of Honor Mehmet Simsek, Governor of Ankara Vasip Sahin, Kuwaiti Ambassador in Turkiye Wael Yousef Al-Enezi and Kuwaiti Consul in Istanbul Mohammad Sultan Al-Sharji. His Highness the Amir is accompanied by an official delegation that comprises Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Dr. Anwar Ali Al-Mudhaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, and senior officials from the Amiri Diwan and Foreign Ministry.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah patronized and attended on Monday the 23rd edition of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award ceremony in Bayan Palace. His Highness the Amir was received by the Head of the Award Board of Trustees Sheikha Ayda Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah and other members of the supreme organizing committee. During the ceremony, His Highness launched the new edition of the digital index. Addressing the event, Head of the Award Board of Trustees said that the Informatics Award takes the responsibility of bridging the technical gap and protecting privacy due to the tremendous breakthrough that the digital technology has created. She voiced much appreciation and gratitude to the country's leaders for their farsightedness, wisdom and fervent efforts for the sake of national development and modernization. Also speaking during the ceremony on the occasion of winning the prize, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain Khaled Humaidan congratulated His Highness the Amir on assuming ffice, wishing His Highness success and further development and prosperity for Kuwait. He said that His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah Informatics Award was a recognition of the efforts made in the field of digital transformation and that it is an incentive to continue the Bank's journey and adds to its achievements. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah handed the awards to the winners, and was given a commemorative gift on this occasion.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Sunday at Bayan Palace a handwritten letter from the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Mohammad Bin Salman inviting Kuwait to join the Global Water Organization (GWO), an initiative aimed at ensuring global water sustainability. The letter was handed by the Saudi ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan Bin Saad in the presence of Kuwait's top officials.
