His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Friday a cable of condolences to Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa over the demise of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salman bin Khaled Al-Khalifa. In the cable, His Highness the Amir expressed his heartfelt sympathy over the death of Sheikh Abdullah, head of military office of King Hamad, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. His Highness the Amir prayed to Allah the Almighty to bestow mercy upon Sheikh Abdullah, dwell him in paradise and bring solace to the ruling family.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah arrived on Wednesday, with his accompanying delegation, to Kuwait from Turkiye after concluding his state visit. His Highness the Amir was accompanied by an official delegation that included Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic and Investment Affairs Dr. Anwar Ali Al-Mudhaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, and senior officials from the Amiri Diwan and Foreign Ministry.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation on Wednesday departed Turkiye flying back home after a state visit to the nation. Upon His Highness the Amir's departure, he was accompanied, at the airport by Turkish Minister of Treasury and Finance and Chief of the Accompanying Mission of Honor Mehmet Simsek, Governor of Ankara Vasip Sahin, the commander of the military garrison of Ankara Major General Ahmet Mahmud, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Turkiye Wael Yousef Al-Enezi, and Kuwaiti Consul in Istanbul Mohammad Sultan Al-Sherji.

His Highness the Amir commended the "historic relations between our countries for the past 60 years since their establishment in 1964, and we express our aspirations towards promoting these relations to honor aspirations of our peoples." His Highness the Amir praised Turkiye's "honorable" support for Kuwait during Iraq's invasion in 1990. He congratulated Turkiye for the success of Antalya's 3rd diplomatic forum, which was held last March, and commended the signing of a joint statement, on April 21, that marked the start of negotiations for a free trade agreement between the GCC and Turkiye. His Highness the Amir said he was looking forward for a joint committee meeting to be held at the foreign ministers' level, as well as the economic, industrial and technical committee meeting that would be co-chaired by Kuwait's Minister of Commerce and Industry. "We affirm our aspiration for strengthening of joint cooperation in all fields especially in defense domain through government-to-government contracting," he said. His Highness the Amir said Kuwait looked forward for further cooperation with Turkiye in trade and investment, noting the two countries have potentials to boost trade exchange and investment opportunities, citing Limak Holding's execution of Kuwait International Airport's Terminal Two (T2). The two leaders also discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest, and the talks expressed common desire to bolster cooperation and coordination in many fields.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has addressed a cable of condolences to UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on demise of Sheikh Hazzaa bin Sultan bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. His Highness the Amir expressed his heartfelt consolations to the UAE President, praying for soul of the deceased, also condoling with the gracious ruling family.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent Wednesday a cable of appreciation to Turkiye's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan after his state visit to Turkiye. In the cable, His Highness the Amir expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation to President Erdogan for the warm welcome and hospitality during the visit. His Highness the Amir said that the visit reflected deep and distinguished ties between the two countries and peoples, and aimed to strengthen fruitful and constructive cooperation. His Highness the Amir also voiced his deepest gratitude to President Erdogan for awarding him with the Order of State.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan held a dinner banquet in honor of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation, on the occasion of a state visit to Ankara.

An official reception ceremony was held at the Turkish Presidential Palace in Ankara on Tuesday in honor of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on the occasion of his state visit to Turkiye. His Highness the Amir was accompanied by a group of equestrians carrying the flags of the two countries to the presidential palace and was welcomed by the President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Upon the arrival of the Kuwaiti official delegation to the Palace, trumpets were blown and artillery fired twenty-one rounds to welcome His Highness the Amir. The national anthem of Kuwait and Turkiye were also played. His Highness the Amir greeted some of Turkiye's top officials and the Turkish president greeted and welcomed the Kuwaiti official delegation.
