Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud held a banquet in honor of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and his accompanying delegation.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah visited Tuesday Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud at Arqa Palace, with the attendance of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. Saudi King Salman welcomed His Highness the Amir and his accompanying delegation. During the visit, the deeply rooted ties between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were touched on.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and an official delegation accompanying him left for Saudi Arabia on a state visit on Tuesday. His Highness the Amir was seen off at the airport by National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Head of the Diwan of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Deputy Head of National Guard Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Acting Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah, Deputy Premier and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Al-Mousherji and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Dr. Emad Al-Ateeqi. His Highness the Amir is accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Duaij Khalifa Al-Malek Al-Sabah, Sheikh Salem Abdulaziz Al-Saud Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Ahmad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Sheikh Dr. Ali Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, Sheikh Fahad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and senior Amiri Diwan officials.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Tuesday a cable of congratulations from the Japanese Emperor Narohitu on His Highness' power assumption. The Japanese Emperor, in the cable, wished His Highness the Amir success in the development of State of Kuwait and hoped he would enjoy lifelong good health. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal reciprocated with a cable to the Emperor, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the good sentiments and wished him lifelong wellness.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, heading the Kuwaiti side, engaged in official talks at Al-Yamamah Palace in Riyadh with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud, Prime Minister and head of the Saudi side. The session handled a myriad of issues, including the deeply rooted ties between the two nations, modes of developing already existing partnership and furthering cooperation to support efforts of Gulf Cooperation Council member countries. The two also discussed issues of common interest, countering regional and international challenges as well as exchanged perspectives on developments and efforts made in that regard.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and an official delegation accompanying him arrived in Saudi Arabia on a state visit on Tuesday. His Highness the Amir was received by Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman Al-Saud. His Highness was also received by Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, Governor of the Riyadh Region, Prince Turki bin Mohammad bin Fahad Al-Saud, Minister of State, Member of the Council of Ministers, Head of the Mission of Honor, and the Ambassador of the Saudi King to the State of Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad Al-Saud, the Ambassador of Kuwait to the Kingdom, Sheikh Sabah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and His Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Mayor of the Riyadh Region. His Highness the Amir is accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Nasser Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Duaij Khalifa Al-Malek Al-Sabah, Sheikh Salem Abdulaziz Al-Saud Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Ahmad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Sheikh Dr. Ali Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Duaij Al-Ibrahim Al-Sabah, Sheikh Fahad Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah and senior Amiri Diwan officials.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Tuesday a cable of congratulations from Governor-General of Antigua and Barbuda Rodney Williams for assuming the top office. Williams wished His Highness the Amir good health, and further progress and prosperity for his country and people. His Highness the Amir sent a cable to the president, expressing his utmost appreciation for the kind words, wishing him long-lasting health.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah will be holding a flag-hoisting ceremony at Bayan Palace under his patronage with important officials in attendance. The ceremony will take place at 10:00 am (local time) on Wednesday.
