Kuwait Amir condoles Russian president with deadly terrorist attack

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah has sent a cable of condolences to Russian President Vladimir Putin expressing heartfelt solace on the fall of victims in the terrorist attack at a concert facility in the Russian capital. His Highness the Amir affirmed the State of Kuwait's strong condemnation of this ugly terrorist act that targeted innocent people. He wished the injured quick recovery and the deceased His Almighty's mercy.

Kuwait Amir congratulates Namibia on Independence Day

His Highness Amir visits Kuwait Fire Force

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, visited Tuesday Kuwait Fire Force (KFF) headquarters. Accompanied by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, His Highness the Amir was received by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah, and head of KFF Liet. Gen. Khaled Al-Mekrad. In his speech, His Highness the Amir congratulated all KFF staff on the holy month of Ramadan, expressing his appreciation to the them for their strenuous efforts and sacrifices for the sake of the dear homeland. "We evaluate keenness of the KFF on achieving its missions in line with a five-year strategic document based on a scientific approach which studies reality and benefits from resources and potential seeking to achieve leaderships and excellence," His Highness the Amir said. His Highness the Amir further expressed appreciation to the KFF for its approach in boosting cooperation between military and security bodies on one hand, and their counterparts in the sisterly and friendly countries on the other. His Highness the Amir called on the KFF to keep vigilant and cautious as well as ready to face the risks of fire and accidents. He also instructed the KFF personnel to make sure of the presence of facilities' safety and prevention to avoid fire. His Highness the Amir asked the KFF to keep pace with the developments and changes in civil protection, and enhance preventive strategies as well as the plans of crises management and disasters to reach the highest level of society security. Meanwhile, Al-Mekrad affirmed that the KFF is following up the directives of the wise political leadership by implementing laws and rules to all, referring to cooperation with the State's regulatory bodies. In his speech, Al-Mekrad confirmed to His Highness the Amir the KFF personnel vowed that they would continue protecting souls and property in the dear homeland through getting ready to face crises, accidents and disasters. He expressed high appreciation, sincerity, loyalty and obedience to His Highness the Amir, congratulated him on Ramadan. A documentary themed "regional leadership in civil protection" was displayed. His Highness the Amir was accompanied by senior State's officials.

Kuwait Amir receives letters from Iranian Pres.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Tuesday two letters from Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. The letters touched on the bilateral ties between the two countries and issues of common interest. The letters was handed to Deputy Foreign Minister Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah by Iranian Ambassador to the country Mohammad Totunjy.

Kuwait Amir visits Ministry of Interior

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, on Tuesday, visited the Ministry of Interior accompanied by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir was received by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yousef Al-Sabah, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. Addressing the ministry's top officials, His Highness the Amir congratulated the ministry and its staff on the Holy Month of Ramadhan, praying to Allah almighty to bring back the holy month with Kuwait and its people graced with goodness and blessings. His Highness the Amir said that the security forces have a great role to play to preserve order of the country, calling on forces to stay alert at all times in order to prevent any possible danger and harm from happening. "We appreciate the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in combating drugs, and protecting our youth, which crowned by the General Administration for Drug Control winning the competition for the best field cooperation and operational information at the Arab level," said His Highness the Amir. During the visit, His Highness the Amir urged the top officials to continue to develop and advance security work, raise the efficiency, capacity and readiness of security personnel, develop infrastructure, provide distinguished services to citizens and residents, and continue to consolidate joint cooperation locally, regionally and internationally. His Highness the Amir also urged for the digital transformation of all possible services provided by the Ministry of Interior in all its sectors. For his part, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah thanked His Highness the Amir for the visit. The Undersecretary said the number of users engaged with the Ministry of Interior's electronic services has reached more than eight million users, all have benefited from these services. Within the path of development and future directions of the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry has set major goals during the current and future period, in addition to its strategic vision in combating crime in all its forms to achieve security and stability in the country. Sheikh Salem added among these goals are: addressing those who spread rumors and fake accounts and taking legal measures against them. Second, firmness in enforcing the law and eliminating prejudice. Third, determination to eradicate the plague of drugs and psychotropic substances by taking advanced measures to deal with and eliminate this scourge. Fourth, firmly implement the new traffic law immediately after its approval by the National Assembly. Meanwhile, Sheikh Salem said within the framework of developing and modernizing the security system with the latest international systems in order to preserve the safety of the nation, the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Administration of Information Systems, the General Administration of Forensic Evidence, and the Port Security Sector, in mid-May 2023, implemented the biometric fingerprint system in all ports of the country. The data of one million and 694,000 people, including citizens and Gulf nationals (residents, visitors), and people of unknown nationality, has been created and updated, and work is underway to take fingerprints for the target groups through fingerprint centers. Sheikh Salem added that out of our belief in preserving the integrity of the elections and the appearance of the democratic process in an honorable and transparent manner, the sectors of the Ministry of the Interior prepared early for the upcoming parliament election, organizationally and security-wise, and to confront election crimes of all kinds and forms. Other senior officials from the Interior ministry delivered similar speeches and the ceremony was concluded with a memorabilia shield in honor of His Highness the Amir's visit.

Kuwait Amir visits National Guard

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah visited on Monday Kuwait National Guard and delivered a speech on the occasion. In his speech, His Highness the Amir said that he is pleased with such visit which coincide the blessed month of Ramadan, and in confirmation of the great values and authentic principles that our dear Kuwaiti leadership and people have upheld throughout the years. The visit by His Highness the Amir to congratulate its leadership, commanders and all its affiliates on this holy month, praying to Allah Almighty for many returns it to our Islamic and Arab nations, our beloved homeland and its honorable people with goodness and blessings. His Highness the Amir added "my brothers and sons (Guardians of the Homeland): This place has witnessed over decades clear fingerprints, entitled (achievement and excellence) in all fields: military, security, administrative, medical and technical, the pillars of which were laid down by my dear brother His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the National Guard Chief, wishing great health and care." The Amir noted "we remember with admiration and pride Sheikh Salem's journey, which culminated in this military-security institution reaching a distinguished position among the relevant authorities at all levels: local, regional and international, stressing at the same time the need to continue such excellence work, so that the National Guard remains the vital role of support for the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, the General Fire Force and state institutions, especially those of a strategic nature. His Highness the Amir commended as well the efforts that culminated in the development of various National Guard camps, including the shooting ranges camps of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali, which refined the skills of National Guard personnel. Kuwait Amir also congratulate the opening of the specialized clinics, the dialysis ward, and the diagnostic radiology center at the new specialized medical center in Tahrir camp. After the speech, National Guard Undersecretary Hashim Al-Rifaie delivered a speech marking the visit of His Highness the Amir. In his speech, Al-Rifaie said on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Chief of the National Guard, and Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the National Guard, and all members of the National Guard, commanders and forces, we express our great pleasure for this blessed visit. "It gives me great pleasure to extend to your Highness the Amir and to the Kuwaiti people our warmest congratulations and blessings on the holy month of Ramadan, wishing to you and our dear homeland and the Islamic world prosperity, and blessings.
