His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Tuesday received a phone call from Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi expressing heartfelt congratulations on Eid Al-Fitr. President Al-Sisi hoped that the happy occasion would recur with all bounties and blessings for the two countries, gracious peoples, the Arab and Muslim nations and wished His Highness the Amir very good health. His Highness the Amir expressed gratitude to the Egyptian president for the gracious gesture that depicted the depth of the relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples and expressed felicitations to President Al-Sisi on the happy occasion, wishing him very good health. He has also wished the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt and its gracious people will see that their aspirations for progress and prosperity have been attained under the wise leadership of his Excellency.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Monday a phone call from King of Bahrain Hamad bin Issa Al-Khalifa, congratulating him on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. The Bahraini King beseeched His Almighty that this occasion will be repeated for the two countries and the Arab and Muslim nations, wishing His Highness good health and wellness. His Highness the Amir thanked the Bahraini king for the phone call, reciprocating with identical sentiments and wishes.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Monday former prime ministers, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah. The reception was part of current consultations for forming a new government.

In their cables, their Highness expressed best wishes and prayers on the blessed occasion, wishing many returns. In turn, His Highness the Amir thanked them for their kind words and sentiments.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signed Monday a decree postponing the first regular session of the National Assembly's 18th legislative term to Tuesday, May 14.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday received a phone call from the Sultan of Oman his Majesty Haitham bin Tariq on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. During the phone call, Sultan Haitham expressed to His Highness the Amir his sincere congratulations and best wishes on this blessed occasion. On his part, His Highness the Amir thanked him for his kind gesture, which is a part of the two countries' strong historical ties.
