His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AL-Sabah received Al-Hussein Necklace from Jordanian King Abdullah II. Al-Hussein Necklace is the highest civilian medal in the Kingdom of Jordan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and an official delegation accompanying him arrived on Tuesday in Jordan on a state visit. His Highness the Amir was received by Jordanian King Abdullah II and the Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah. His Highness the Amir was accompanied by an official delegation that included the Minister of Finance, the Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment, Anwar Ali Al-Mudhaf, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdullah Ali Al-Yahya, and senior officials in the Amiri Diwan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signed an Order Sunday appointing Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah as Deputy Amir while His Highness is abroad. The Amiri Order states that this designation would remain valid until the naming of a Crown Prince, and that the Prime Minister should comply with this Order and inform the National Assembly. The Amiri Order takes effect once published in the official gazette.

Kuwait's Amir, Jordan King hold official session of talks

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Jordanian King Abdullah II held an official session of talks Tuesday, at Basman Palace. During the talks, both sides touched on the deep-rooted bilateral ties between the two countries and ways of boosting cooperation to serve the aspirations of the two peoples. His Highness the Amir congratulated King Abdullah II on the 25th anniversary of his coronation, praising Jordan's achievements under his wise leadership. The talks were attended by His Highness the Amir's official delegation.

Kuwait Amir departs to Jordan on state visit

His Highness the Amir was seen off at the airport by Deputy Amir and designated Prime Minister to form the new government Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, His Highness the prime minister of the caretaker government Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah and other top officials. His Highness the Amir also hosted at Bayan Palace the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and the Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
