His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, received the Minister of Commerce and Industry Khalifa Al-Ajeel Al-Askar accompanied with the newly appointed Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Capital Markets Authority, Imad Tifoni.
Vice Chairman Rayan Mohammad Al-Zaid, and members Tariq Abdulatif Shehab, Hessa Abdulaziz Al-Roumi, and Thamer Nabil Al-Nusf also attended the reception on the occasion of their appointment in the Board of Commissioners of the Capital Markets Authority

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber received, Monday, Foreign Minister Abdullah Al-Yahya at Bayan Palace along with the five newly appointed ambassadors who took their constitutional oaths before His Highness the Amir.
The envoys included Ambassador Bosnia and Herzegovina Saleh Al-Bannai, Ambassador to Indonesia Khaled Al-Yassin, Ambassador to Sweden Mohammad Hayati, Ambassador to Armenia Mohammad Al-Arefan and Ambassador to the Philippines Meshari Al-Nibari.
Senior state officials were present during the reception.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent Friday a cable of congratulations to President of Zimbabwe Emmerson Mnangagwa on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir wished President Mnangagwa lasting good health, and Zimbabwe and its friendly people further progress and prosperity.

His Highness the Amir also received Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences to the King of Malaysia Sultan Ibrahim bin Iskandar, on the demise of former prime minister Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.
His Highness the Amir prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow mercy upon the deceased.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and President of Egypt Abdulfattah Al-Sisi chaired on Tuesday the official rounds of talks between the two countries.
This came in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, and senior state officials from both countries.
In a statement, Minister of the Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said that the talks focused on the strong ties linking the two countries and ways to develop them in various fields.
Issues of mutual interest, Arab cooperation and unity, in addition to the latest regional and international developments were discussed by the two sides, said the minister, adding that the dire situation in the Gaza Strip and efforts to bring upon a ceasefire and enabling the entry of humanitarian aid were also focused upon.
He stressed that supporting the Palestinian dream of establishing an independent state as well as efforts of reconstruction Gaza was also on the table of discussions.
The meeting was highlighted by a positive atmosphere, which reflected the strong relations between the two countries, he affirmed.
