The President expressed his deep sorrow and sincere solace to the Amir and the people of Kuwait, while also commending the late Amir's humanitarian contributions and his efforts in bolstering relations between the two nations. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal sent a cable in response to the President's sincere sentiments thanking him and wishing him good health and wellbeing.
