An official reception was held for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Qatari Amiri Diwan on Tuesday on the occasion of his state visit to Qatar. Upon arrival at the Amiri Diwan, a group of cavalrymen and cameleers formed a line, pop troupes performed Qatari Ardha dance and an 18-gun salute was given to His Highness the Amir. The national anthems of both Kuwait and Qatar were then played. Afterwards, His Highness the Amir shook hands with Qatari sheiks and senior officials, while Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani shook hands with His Highness the Amir's accompanying delegation.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah headed on Tuesday to the State of Qatar on a state visit. His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Head of the Crown Prince Diwan Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Al-Mousherji, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Dr. Imad Al-Atiqi as well as senior state officials saw His Highness off at the International Airport. His Highness the Amir's delegation includes Sheikh Ali Jarrah Sabah Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, Sheikh Abdullah Fahad Al-Malik Al-Salman Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Salah Nasser Al-Ali Al-Mohammed Al-Sabah, Sheikh Fahad Salem Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Sheikh Dr. Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Sheikh Abdullah Salem Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah and senior officials of the Amiri Diwan.

Kuwait's Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem sent a cable of condolences to King Abdullah II of Jordan. The Prime Minister expressed his deepest condolences and solace over the death of the father of Princess Rajwa Al Hussein, Khaled bin Musaed Al-Saif.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, accompanied by officials, arrived in the Qatari capital on Tuesday starting a state visit to the Gulf country. Upon entering the Qatari territorial airspace, a squadron of Qatari warplanes accompanied His Highness the Amir's plane until its landing at the airport where he was welcomed by the Qatari Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal was also greeted upon arrival by the Qatari Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Qatari Amir's Personal Representative Sheikh Jassem bin Hamad Al-Thani, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, Interior Minister and Commander of the Internal Security Force and head of the accompanying mission of honor Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad Al-Thani, Head of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saud bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani, the Qatari Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Ali bin Abdullah Al-Mahmoud and the State of Kuwait Ambassador to Qatar Khaled Badr Al-Mutairi. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Monday a cable of condolences to Jordanian Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah. In the cable, His Highness the Amir expressed his deepest and sincere condolences on the death of the father of Princess Rajwa Al-Hussein, Khaled bin Musaed Al-Saif, wishing the Crown Prince and his family solace.

His Highness the Amir, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, patronized and attended on Monday the graduation of the 31st batch of cadets at Saad Al-Abdullah Academy of Security Sciences. His Highness the Amir, upon arrival at the celebration's venue, was greeted by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Acting Interior Undersecretary Lieutenant General Sheikh Salem Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and the ministry's top officials. The ceremony was attended by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, senior State officials and the graduates' families and citizens. The ceremony started with tunes of the National Anthem, Quranic verses, then the academy acting commander, Brigadier General Mohammad Al-Roumi addressed the crowd with a speech. He stated that the academy's capabilities aims on qualifying the cadet officers in order to keep pace with the rapid development in scientific, training and technical progress and modernization. Al-Roumi extended his deepest appreciation to his Highness the Amir and Kuwait's leadership, and congratulated the families of the graduates on this honorable ceremony. Then the ceremony of handing over the academy flag began from the 31st batch to the 47th batch of officer cadets, followed by the final results for the graduates delivered by the assistant commander of the academy, Brigadier General Ali Al-Wuhaib. Names of the graduates were declared and His Highness the Amir handed over the trophies to the excellent graduated officers and high honor students at the academy. This was followed by the graduates entering the parade ground to take the oath, delivered by the Commander of the Education and Examinations Battalion, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Radhan. His Highness the Amir was awarded a memorial on the occasion before he departed the ceremony venue.

He also hosted Deputy Chief of the National Guards Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.
