King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa granted His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah the Order of Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa at Bahrain’s Sakhir Palace on Tuesday, in recognition and appreciation for his efforts to reinforce the bilateral ties between the two nations. The Bahraini King also dedicated His Highness the Bahraini Sword on this occasion. Poet Mohammad Hadi Al-Halwaji recited a poem that was appreciated by the attendance.

An official reception was held at Sakhir Palace for His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the occasion of his state visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain on Tuesday. The motorcade of His Highness the Amir and King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa of Bahrain headed to Sakhir Palace accompanied by cavalry, and students on sides of the road holding flags of Kuwait and Bahrain as well as performance by traditional bands. A 21-gun salute marked arrival of His Highness the Amir, then national anthems of the two countries were played.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah headed on Tuesday to the Kingdom of Bahrain on a state visit. His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Speaker of the National Assembly Ahmad Al-Saadoun, His Highness Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, head of the Crown Prince Diwan Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Chief of the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shereeda Al-Mousherji, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil Dr. Imad Al-Atiqi, as well as senior state officials saw His Highness the Amir off at the international airport. His Highness the Amir's delegation includes Sheikh Ali Khalifa Al-Athbi Al-Sabah, Sheikh Ali Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Khalifa Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Sheikh Azzam Mubarak Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Sheikh Fawaz Saud Al-Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah, and senior officials of the Amiri Diwan.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received, Monday, a cable of congratulations from the president of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar, on assuming the leadership's top post. President Musar wished His Highness the Amir success and prosperity in the development of the State of Kuwait and hoped he would enjoy lifelong good health. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal reciprocated with a cable to the President, expressing heartfelt gratitude for the good sentiments and wished her lifelong wellness.

Official talks between the State of Kuwait and the Kingdom of Bahrain were held at Sakhir Palace Tuesday afternoon, in which His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah chaired the Kuwaiti side, while King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa chaired the Bahraini side. During the discussion session, they reviewed the distinguished relations linking Kuwait and Bahrain and the bilateral cooperation, and ways to boost the established strong relatios. Discussions also addressed the pursuit of more partnership to expand frameworks of action to support and enhance the progress of the Gulf Cooperation Council, highlighting issues of common interest, as well as the latest regional and international developments. His Highness the Amir congratulated the King of Bahrain on the twenty-third anniversary of the National Action Charter of Bahrain, and wished perpetual development and prosperity for the Kingdom of Bahrain and its people under the leadership of King Hamad Al-Khalifa. The accompanying delegation of His Highness the Amir attended the session.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and an official delegation accompanying him arrived in Manama on a state visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain Tuesday. Fighter jets of Bahrain's Air Force accompanied His Highness the Amir's aircraft when it entered the Bahraini airspace. His Highness the Amir was received at the Airport by King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, head of Bahrain national guard Sheikh Mohammad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, Special Representative of the King Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, King's Representative for Humanitarian and Youth Affairs Sheikh Nasser bin Hamad Al-Khalifa, First Deputy President of supreme council for Youth and Sport, Chairman of Bahrain Olympic Committee and head of the Public Authority for Sport Sheikh Khaled bin Hamad Al-Khalifa. Also receiving His Highness the Amir were Head of the Royal Court Sheikh Khaled bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, Commander of the Defense Force Field Marshal Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmad Al-Khalifa, Head of the Mission of Honor and Interior Minister General Sheikh Rashed bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa, Kuwait's Ambassador to Bahrain Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Bahrain's Ambassador to Kuwait Salah Al-Malki. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Monday a phone call from UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. During the call, Guterres touched on the distinguished ties between the UN and the State of Kuwait as well as the pivotal role played by His Highness towards all regional and global issues. He also thanked His Highness for the Kuwaiti positions and its support for humanitarian organizations towards various humanitarian issues, especially Kuwait's assistance to the Palestinian people in the various difficult humanitarian circumstances they are experiencing. In turn, His Highness the Amir thanked the UN Chief for his sincere sentiments and invited him to visit Kuwait.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Monday a cable to Chilean President Gabriel Boric Font, expressing his condolences on the passing of former President of Chile, Sebastian Pinera Echenique. His Highness the Amir wished the former president's family solace over their loss.
