His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, accompanied by a delegation of officials, arrived on Tuesday in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, starting a state visit. A squadron of UAE military aircraft accompanied His Highness the Amir's plane across the UAE airspace. Upon his arrival in the UAE capital's airport, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was received by the UAE President Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan. His Highness the Amir was also welcomed at the airport by the UAE Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Presidency Diwan Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, the Advisor of Special Affairs at the Presidency Diwan Sheikh Mohammad bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al-Nahyan, the State of Kuwait Ambassador to the UAE Jamal Mohammad Al-Ghunaim, and the UAE Ambassador to the State of Kuwait Matar Hamed Al-Nayadi. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent Monday appreciation cables to Minister of Information and Culture Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, Minister of Education and Scientific Research Dr. Adel Al-Adwani, and Chairperson of the Kuwaiti Voluntary Work Center Sheikha Amthal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In the cables, His Highness the Amir expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for their efforts in preparing and organizing the national operetta (Qissat Watan) which was done by the Ministry of Education, under His Highness' patronage, for the national holidays' celebrations of 2024. His Highness the Amir praised the high artistic level of the operetta and its embodiment of love, loyalty, and devotion for the homeland, and the distinguished performance of the students, which contributed to its success and its beautiful production.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah patronized and attended the national operetta (Story of a Homeland) at the Bayan Palace stage on Monday. The operetta was attended by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council and the Head of the Court of Cassation, Judge Dr. Adel Majed Bouresli, and senior State officials. The event started with tunes of the National Anthem echoing across the hall. Then, students presented diverse artistic shows depicting the State of Kuwait's history, its birth, the solidarity of the Kuwaiti people, and performances about His Highness the Amir Speech that sets guidelines for loving the dear homeland. His Highness the Amir was awarded a memorial present before he departed the venue amid much applause by the attendees.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber al-Sabah received at Bayan Palace on Monday Amina J. Mohammed, the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, and her delegation. State officials attended the meeting.
