His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Monday issued a decree appointing Dr. Adel Mohammad Abdullah Al-Zamel as undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a phone call, Sunday, from the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Britain and Northern Ireland, Sir Keir Starmer.
During the call, they discussed the strong and distinguished bilateral relations between Kuwait and the UK, expressing their shared aspirations to further enhance and strengthen these ties.
The Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes for His Highness the Amir's continued good health and well-being and expressed hopes for further progress, prosperity, and growth for Kuwait under His Highness the Amir's leadership.
In response, His Highness the Amir expressed his sincere gratitude and appreciation for the call, emphasizing the strong bilateral relations between the two nations, and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering closer ties and expanding cooperation across various fields and sectors.
His Highness the Amir also wished the UK Prime Minister good health and well-being and extended his best wishes for continued prosperity and progress for the UK and its people, and expressed hope for further growth and development in the historic relations between the two nations.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable on Saturday to the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tareq, congratulating him on the fifth anniversary of his throne assumption.
In his cable, His Highness the Amir praised the Sultanate's comprehensive development accomplishments covering various domains under the Sultan's leadership.
His Highness the Amir commended the historical and fraternal relations between both countries and peoples, underlining permanent and joint interest in promoting and developing horizons of existing cooperation at all levels.
His Highness the Amir also wished the Sultan of Oman good health and the Sultanate and its people further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences Wednesday to Chinese President Xi Jinping, over the Tibet earthquake victims.
In the cable, His Highness the Amir expressed condolences to the victims' families, wishing the injured a speedy recovery.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and a delegation accompanying him leave for the UK Tuesday, January 14, at the personal invitation of His Majesty King Charles III of the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Sunday at Al-Seif Palace His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.
His Highness the Amir also received separately His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Thursday addressed a cable of congratulations to the newly elected president of the Republic of Lebanon, Joseph Aoun.
His Highness the Amir in the cable expressed heartfelt felicitations to Aoun on his election as president of the republic, wishing him success for service of the country's interests and stability, as well as for attaining the aspiration toward growth, progress and prosperity for the country.
His Highness the Amir lauded the historic and distinguished relations bonding the State of Kuwaiti with the sisterly Republic of Lebanon, affirming his aspiration toward cementing these bonds further and promoting the mutual cooperation in various sectors.
He hoped the republic and its people would witness further promotion and development and wished the new president good health and wellbeing.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah extended his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the Kuwaiti people for their hospitality and good deeds towards the Gulf Cup fans that have contributed to the success of the event.
This came in a speech by His Highness the Amir during his reception to the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Gulf Cup Tuesday in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and First Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.
In the speech, His Highness the Amir thanked Minister of Information and Culture, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Gulf Cup, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, President of the Kuwait Football Association, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Committee Sheikh Ahmad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, and the committee members for their efforts.
His Highness the Amir also extended appreciation to His Highness the Prime Minister and all the concerned ministers, officials and volunteers tireless efforts, which culminated in the success of this sporting event that reflected the readiness of the State of Kuwait to organize such tournaments.
His Highness the Amir congratulated Bahrain on winning the cup, extending appreciation to all of the participating teams wishing the success in upcoming events.
Further, His Highness the Amir affirmed full support for the continuation of the development renaissance witnessed by the State of Kuwait in various fields, especially sports, and the ambition of hosting the Asian Football Cup in the near future.
In turn, Minister of Information Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi and on behalf of the supreme committee members thanked His Highness the Amir for this reception and the kind sentiments.
"Your generous sponsorship of this sporting event was not just a support for sports, but rather a noble message that reflects your constant keenness to consolidate the values of brotherhood and fraternity among the peoples of the Arabian Gulf and to embody Kuwait's pioneering role as a center of love and peace in the region," said Minister Al-Mutairi.
