His Highness Sheikh Meshal praised the existing US-GCC cooperation, particularly with the State of Kuwait, in investments, expressed aspiration to increase the enterprises "with it (the US) as a strategic ally." At the humanitarian and development levels, His Highness the Amir affirmed the solid adherence to bolstering relief and humanitarian action in regions witnessing conflicts and catastrophes, "and we call for coordinating the US-Gulf development aid" for effective and sustainable response to the stricken communities' needs." "We also propose establishing a Gulf-American forum for educational and cultural dialogue to back programs of scientific and joint research, empower the youth, enhance the values of tolerance, openness and civic understanding," he said.

The Gulf-the US summit kicked off, Wednesday, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the participation of various leaders including His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
The summit is attended by the leaders of the GCC countries, the host country -Saudi Arabia- is represented by the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammad bin Salman, and representing the Kingdom of Bahrain is King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, while the State of Qatar is represented by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani.
The United Arab Emirates is represented by Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammad bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, and the Sultanate of Oman is represented by Deputy Prime Minister Asa'ad bin Tareq Al-Said.
US President Donald Trump is participating in the summit, and the Secretary General of the GCC, Jassem Al-Budaiwi.
The summit focuses on reviewing regional and international developments, coordinating joint efforts to enhance the security and stability of the region, sustainable development, and strengthening the strategic partnership between the GCC and the US.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the accompanying delegation arrived in Saudi Arabia on Wednesday to partake in the Gulf-US Summit in Riyadh.
Receiving His Highness the Amir at the airport were Deputy Governor of Riyadh Region Mohammad bin Abdulrahman Al-Saud, Secretary General of the GCC Jassem Al-Budaiwi, head of the honorary delegation and Saudi Ambassador to Kuwait Prince Sultan bin Saad Al-Saud, Kuwaiti Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Sheikh Sabah Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Mayor of Riyadh Region Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf.
His Highness the Amir is accompanied by an official delegation that included the Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Sabah, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdullah Al-Yahya, and senior officials.

Senior state officials, including in Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Youssef Saud Al-Sabah, attended the meeting.
