In presence of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Al-Sabah family members, a luncheon was held by Sheikh Ali Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah at Azayez farm in Kuwait's northern Al-Abdali area on Wednesday.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of congratulations Tuesday to President of Sri Lanka Anura Kumara Dissanayake, on the occasion of his country's Independence Day.
His Highness the Amir wished the president a long healthy life, hoping for Sri Lanka further prosperity.

An Amiri order was published Tuesday amending the appointment of Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah as First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and appointing Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah as Minister of Defense.
The Prime Minister shall implement this decree, it shall be published in the official Gazette and be effective from the date of its issuance.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in the presence of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, received visiting Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock Company Larry Fink and his accompanying delegation at Bayan Palace on Monday.
During the meeting, His Highness the Amir underlined the significance of promoting investment and economic opportunities and creating a competitive economic environment that bolsters strategic cooperation with foreign companies.
His Highness the Amir also stressed the importance of diversifying the productive and development base targeting knowledge transfer and localization, attracting capital to contribute to bolstering national economy, and developing the Kuwaiti human capital to create jobs for youth in order to push forward the country's development.
For his part, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of BlackRock Company Larry Fink emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation with the State of Kuwait and supporting Kuwait's 2035 Vision goals.
Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investment Noora Al-Fassam and Director-General of the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) Sheikh Dr. Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah were present at the meeting.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received a letter from French President Emmanuel Macron regarding bilateral relations and means to strengthen them.
It also included an invitation to His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince to visit France.
Deputy Foreign Minister, Ambassador Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Sabah, received the letter on Tuesday, during his reception of French Ambassador to Kuwait Olivier Gauvin.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in attendance of His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received Tuesday His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, who presented the newly-appointed Defense Minister.
The newly appointed Defense Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah took the constitutional oath.
The ceremony was attended by several state officials.
