Kuwait Amir visits National Guard on occasion of Ramadan

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, visited the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) on Monday evening.
His Highness the Amir was welcomed by KNG Chief Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, KNG Deputy Chief Sheikh Faisal Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and KNG Undersecretary Maj. Gen. Hamad Salem Al-Barjas.
Addressing the gathering, His Highness the Amir said he was honored to visit the KNG and meet with its leaders and personnel in order to congratulate them on the holy month of Ramadan.
His Highness appreciated the efforts of all KNG personnel, which have embodied utter dedication and sacrifice, and all those who have contributed to developing this great military fortress.
His Highness added that since its establishment by the late Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the KNG has proven to be an invincible fortress and a trustworthy support for the nation and its institutions, defending its land, safeguarding its assets, and ensuring its security.
In this context, His Highness the Amir spoke highly of the KNG's accomplishments over the recent period in all fields, including comprehensive training and exercises as well as its national role in supporting state institutions.
Furthermore, His Highness the Amir instructed the KNG leaders to continuously monitor units, make surprise field visits to sites in a bid to bolster discipline and responsibility, assess performance efficiency, check work mechanisms, and ensure readiness, maintenance of weapons systems, and training, especially helicopter flight training.
His Highness also directed them to adopt the latest technologies and upgrade specialized centers according to global standards, while making use of artificial intelligence, enhancing the capabilities of the operations center, and improving the efficiency of monitoring and control systems to support national security and promote international cooperation through joint training expertise exchange with sister and friendly countries.
For his part, KNG Undersecretary Maj. Gen. Hamad Salem Al-Barjas addressed the gathering by thanking His Highness the Amir for this visit to the KNG, which reflected the "one-family spirit".
He said this year's holy month of Ramadan coincides with the country's national celebrations, wishing His Highness the Amir good health and the dear national everlasting goodness and blessings.
He underlined the KNG's absolute commitment to discipline and high-combat readiness in order to protect the homeland under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir.
A documentary video showcasing the National Guard's achievements and national efforts was then displayed, while His Highness the Amir was presented with a commemorative gift.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, met with the leadership, officers, and personnel of the Ministry of Defense.
In his address, His Highness the Amir extended greetings on the holy month of Ramadan, praying for the continued security, prosperity, and advancement of Kuwait.
He praised the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces for their unwavering dedication to protecting the nation by land, sea, and air, emphasizing the strategic role of the military in maintaining national security and stability.
His Highness highlighted the importance of continuing the Ministry's Strategic Plan 2025-2030, aimed at strengthening institutional work and modernizing the defense system to meet evolving regional and international challenges.
He noted achievements in international cooperation, joint operations, technology transfer, and the inauguration of the "Naif" light ammunition factory.
He also commended the continued integration of women into the armed forces, including the registration of the first female university graduate cohort.
His Highness outlined key directives for the Ministry of Defense leadership, including conducting surprise field visits to military units to monitor readiness and operational needs, enhancing military infrastructure and maintenance of equipment.
The Chief of Staff, speaking on behalf of Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah and all personnel, conveyed appreciation for the Amir's presence and continued support.
He affirmed the Kuwaiti Armed Forces' commitment to enhancing defense capabilities, operational readiness, and the strategic development of military sectors, including unmanned aerial vehicles, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity, alongside programs to attract and train young Kuwaiti talent, including the first cohort of female officers.
The armed forces have strengthened domestic and international cooperation through joint exercises, training programs, and exchanges with allied and friendly nations to enhance operational integration and strategic partnerships, he added.

In his cable, Al-Saadoun expressed his deepest sorrow on behalf of the parliament members over the demise His Highness the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. In his cable, the Korean leader praised contributions of the late Amir in sustaining bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, and praying to Almighty Allah to bestow mercy upon his soul. Kuwait Amir vows to pursue reforms .. "we are in phase of hard-working"

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Wednesday pledged to pursue the process of reforms and affirmed that "we are in a new phase of the responsible and serious action stages." His Highness the Amir's statement came during a reception of the His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to take the oath on the occasion of his appointment and present the ministers to His Highness the Amir.
