Kuwait Amir leaves to Oman on state visit on Tues.
05-02-2024His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah leaves on Tuesday with his accompanying delegation to Oman on a state visit. His Highness the Amir, with the Sultanate of Oman Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq will attend the opening ceremony of the Duqm Refinery and Petrochemical Industries Company on Wednesday.

Kuwait Amir receives congratulatory cable from Mali's interim pres.
31-01-2024His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Wednesday a cable from Interim President of Republic of Mali Assimi Goita, congratulating His Highness on assuming office. In the cable, the president wished His Highness the Amir success and good health, and further progress and prosperity to Kuwait. His Highness the Amir sent a reply cable to the president, expressing his sincere gratitude and appreciation for his heartfelt sentiments.
Kuwait Amir congratulates Malaysian King on oath-taking
31-01-2024His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Wednesday a cable of congratulations to Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, on taking the oath of office. His Highness the Amir wished the King of Malaysia success and good health and further development and progress for the good relationship between Kuwait and Malaysia.
Kuwait Amir appoints Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Sabah PM
04-02-2024His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah signed an Amiri Order Thursday appointing Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem as Prime Minister and assigned him to form a government. Born in 1955, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad had a bachelor's degree in economics from Claremont Graduate University and a PhD from Harvard University, and was appointed as professor at Kuwait University in 1985. He worked at Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research in 1987-88. Sheikh Dr. Mohammad was appointed Ambassador to the US in 1993 and stayed there until his appointment as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs on February 14, 2001. He was appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs and Acting Minister of Social Affairs and Labor on July 14, 2003. On February 9, 2006, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad was named Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister. He was reappointed in the same post in July 2006 and March 2007, as well as in cabinet reshuffles in October 2007 and May 2008. He held the same position in the governments formed on May 29, 2009, and May 8, 2011.
Saudi Crown Prince awards Kuwait's Amir with King Abdulaziz Medal

Kuwait Amir patronizes, attends flag-hoisting ceremony at Bayan Palace
31-01-2024A Kuwaiti flag-hoisting ceremony took place at Bayan Palace on Wednesday under the patronage, and in presence, of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. National Assembly Speaker Ahmad Al-Saadoun, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, President of Kuwait's Supreme Judicial Council, the head of the Court of Cassation Adel Bouresli and senior state officials, attended the event. The motorcade of His Highness the Amir arrived at the venue, given a 21-gun salute and warm welcome by the personnel of the Army, Police and National Guard. His Highness the Amir then hoisted the flag and the National Anthem was played.
