Kuwait Amir honors distinguished teachers, schools on World Teachers' Day

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah patronized and attended on Tuesday a ceremony honoring a group of outstanding teachers and schools marking World Teachers' Day for the 2023-2024 and 2024-2025 academic years.
The event, held at Sheikh Abdullah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Theater in Abdullah Al-Salem University, was attended by the Crown Prince His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and senior state officials.
Upon arrival, His Highness the Amir was received by Minister of Education Dr. Jalal Al-Tabtabai and the organizing committee.
The ceremony began with the national anthem followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Delivering his speech, Minister Al-Tabtabai said that the honorees were proud of being recognized by the Kuwaiti leadership, which is keen on boosting education in the country.
He praised His Highness the Amir's directives for the educational sector based on cultivating talents and utilizing them in the development of the country.
He revealed that some 600,000 students were enrolled in government schools with capable teaching and administrative stuff, the main driving elements for plans of development in Kuwait.
Honoring teachers is necessary for they are the guide in building the future, he asserted, adding that the latest of technological tools were used to enhance the educational experience in Kuwait.
The minister went on to say that, his ministry was carrying on its educational reform plan for 2025-27, which translates the state's national vision.
The plan covered all aspects of educational development, Al-Tabtabai said, noting that transparency and discipline were driving factors in institutional excellence.
The ministry has also focused on bolstering cooperation with regional and international organizations, including the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), exchanging expertize and the knowledge to help develop Kuwait's digital educational transformation.
He affirmed that the Ministry of Education would continue to boost its efforts to achieve the goals of the New Kuwait Vision 2035.
He addressed educators and thanked for their relentless efforts in raising generations of Kuwaiti students, who are now in leading positions in the state.
Teacher Khalil Saud Al-Harbi delivered a speech on behalf of the honored teachers, thanking the Kuwaiti leadership for their unequivocal support of teachers on the celebration of the World Teachers' Day, vowing to continue giving back to the country through important posts.
A short film titled "Teacher Leaders" was screened, highlighting the evolution of education in Kuwait, the role of educators in shaping values and fostering national development, followed by a musical performance.
His Highness the Amir awarded the attending teachers and representatives of the excellent schools before departing the venue.

Kuwait Amir receives letters from Iranian Pres.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received Tuesday two letters from Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi. His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah affirmed confidence in the country's Armed Forces and its sectors, which defend and sacrifice the dear homeland. This came in a speech by His Highness the Amir during his visit the ministry of defense on Monday accompanied by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah. His Highness the Amir appreciated the ministry of defense's keenness to enhance its combat capabilities, raising the level of training and defense readiness, under exceptional circumstances in the regional arena, pushing towards achieving the highest levels of alertness and readiness for the armed forces. His Highness the Amir also expressed gratitude to the efforts made by the Naval Force, in cooperation and coordination with the General Administration of the Coast Guard to achieve the highest levels of readiness to preserve the security of the nation and the safety of its territorial waters. His Highness the Amir congratulated the ministry of defense on the 50th anniversary of its establishment of the (Facilities Engineering Department), which is an incubator of the initiatives and creativity of Kuwaiti youth, praising its role in preserving the environment. During his speech, His Highness the Amir instructed the ministry's leadership to establish the rules of justice and impartiality and take all legal measures to preserve public money. His Highness the Amir also instructed them to intensify inspection tours, and pay attention to infrastructure, especially warehouses of military machinery and equipment. In turn, the Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Major General Pilot, Bandar Al-Muzain expressed pride by the visit of His Highness the Amir, congratulating His Highness on the holy month of Ramadhan. He also noted that the Ministry of Defense, in its various military and civilian sectors, strives, through its work, to find lasting compatibility and harmony with the government action plan.

Kuwait Amir visits National Guard

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah visited on Monday Kuwait National Guard and delivered a speech on the occasion. In his speech, His Highness the Amir said that he is pleased with such visit which coincide the blessed month of Ramadan, and in confirmation of the great values and authentic principles that our dear Kuwaiti leadership and people have upheld throughout the years. The visit by His Highness the Amir to congratulate its leadership, commanders and all its affiliates on this holy month, praying to Allah Almighty for many returns it to our Islamic and Arab nations, our beloved homeland and its honorable people with goodness and blessings. His Highness the Amir added "my brothers and sons (Guardians of the Homeland): This place has witnessed over decades clear fingerprints, entitled (achievement and excellence) in all fields: military, security, administrative, medical and technical, the pillars of which were laid down by my dear brother His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Salem Al-Sabah, the National Guard Chief, wishing great health and care." The Amir noted "we remember with admiration and pride Sheikh Salem's journey, which culminated in this military-security institution reaching a distinguished position among the relevant authorities at all levels: local, regional and international, stressing at the same time the need to continue such excellence work, so that the National Guard remains the vital role of support for the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Interior, the General Fire Force and state institutions, especially those of a strategic nature. His Highness the Amir commended as well the efforts that culminated in the development of various National Guard camps, including the shooting ranges camps of His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali, which refined the skills of National Guard personnel.
