  Kuwait Amir receives phone call from Iraqi Pres

  His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Monday a phone call from Iraqi President Nizar Amedi.
  During the phone call, both sides discussed the longstanding bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and peoples and ways to strengthen and develop them in various fields.
  The two leaders also discussed issues of mutual concern and the latest regional and international developments, particularly the current situation in the region, and exchanged views on these matters.
  They stressed the need to end the escalation and return to dialogue and diplomacy to resolve all outstanding issues.

  Kuwait Amir condoles Saudi King over Riyadh airport attack

  His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent Sunday a cable of condolences to Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud over the victims of the attack on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, which killed several people and injured others.
  His Highness expressed heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy, praying for mercy and forgiveness for the victims, and a speedy recovery to the injured.
  His Highness strongly condemned the heinous and cowardly attack, which targeted innocent civilians and violated all religious laws and human values.
  He reaffirmed Kuwait's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security and stability and protect its citizens and residents.
  His Highness stressed that the security of Saudi Arabia is integral to the security of Kuwait and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.
