  Kuwait Amir receives letter from Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council chairman

  His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Wednesday a handwritten letter from Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council of the Republic of Sudan General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan concerning the fraternal bilateral relations between the two countries.
  It also concerns ways to strengthen and develop those relations in various fields.
  The message was delivered to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah by Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohi El-Din Salem Ahmad The meeting was attended by Head of His Highness the Crown Prince's Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and Sudanese Minister of Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Jibril Ibrahim Mohammad and senior officials.

  Kuwait Amir receives letter from UK PM on bilaterial ties, regional issues

  His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah received on Tuesday a letter from UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham on the longstanding ties between the two countries and ways to further develop them across various fields.
  The letter also addressed several issues of mutual interest and the latest regional and international developments.
  UK Ambassador to Kuwait Qudsi Rasheed delivered the message to Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Hamad Jaber Al-Ali Al-Sabah.
  The meeting was attended by Chief of His Highness the Crown Prince's Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and Director of the Office of the Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sami Al-Mulla.

  Kuwait Amir condoles with Indonesia over earthquake

  His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent on Monday a cable of condolences to Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto over the earthquake that struck East of Indonesia.
  His Highness the Amir expressed his sincere condolences and heartfelt sympathy over the victims of the earthquake, which claimed lives, injured hundreds and caused damage to property and public facilities.
  He wished the injured a speedy recovery and expressed hope that the Indonesian authorities would successfully contain and overcome the impact of the natural disaster.
