The Speech of H.H Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed AL-Jaber AL-Sabah At The Opening Session of The GCC Morocco Summit, Riyadh, On Wednesday April 20, 2016

 

In The Name of Allah the Merciful the Compassionate

 

Praise be to ALLAH, peace and blessings be upon our prophet Mohammed, his family and companions,

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,
You Majesty King Mohammed VI, King of the Kingdom of Morocco,
Your Majesties and Highnesses,
Your Excellencies,

AL-Salam Alaikom Wa Rahmatu Allah Wa Barakatu,

First of all I would like to express my sincere thanks and gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman Bin Abdulaziz AlSaud, to the government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for their host, and for what we received since we arrived from great hospitality and well prepared for this important meeting.

I am also pleased to associate myself to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques in welcoming the brother His Majesty King Mohammed VI, the King of the Kingdom of Morocco, between his brothers the GCC leaders.

This blessed meeting comes during a critical political, economical and security conditions experienced by the Arabic and Islamic nations. That requires a joint coordination with continued consultations and cooperation in unprecedented summit among us as GCC countries leaders and the Kingdom of Morocco. It will give the existing strategic partnership between us extra dimensions, and it will move it to new horizons to achieve the hopes and aspirations of our people.

Your Majesties and Highnesses,

The GCC countries are proud of the historic deep-rooted relations with the Kingdom of Morocco, which we had constantly sought to promote it to a level that reflects the depth of it until we were capable with God’s help and your desire to reach out to the desired level of strategic partnership.

Your Majesties and Highnesses,

We are continuing in our quest to strengthen this strategic partnership, because our absolute faith in its inevitability and necessity under circumstances requires unity not division.

In conclusion, I pray to Almighty Allah to fulfill our blessed meeting with success.
