A rational, tolerant and generous man, Sheikh Jaber was nicknamed "Jaber Al-Aish" on account of his charity to the needy. He frequently gave the poor bread and rice, even though he could not afford to do so. Important events during his reign:
He Helped the Ottoman Empire to free Al-Basra and Al-Mahrnara from The Banu Kaab occupation.
When the British requested him to allow them to turn Kuwait into a British protectorate, he refused.
