HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah declared in his sublime articulate at the 3rd Summit of OPEC convened at the Saudi capital Al Riyadh during the period 17 to 18 November 2007 that Kuwait’s will donate $150 million to support a programme that finances scientific researches related to energy, environment and climate change.

Due to the rise in food and energy prices in the world, Kuwait established Decent Life Fund and contributes with $100 million in the Fund’s capital to meet the negative effects of the world food crisis on t he the least developed countries through providing and developing agricultural production in these countries. This initiative was launched during the 4th Islamic Economic Forum which was convened in the state of Kuwait during the period 29 April to 1st May 2008.

Initiative of supporting small and medium enterprises

HH the Amir launched during the conference of the Arab Summit for Economic and social development which was convened in Kuwait during the period from 19 to 20 January 2009 an initiative for supporting and encouraging small and medium enterprises based on exploiting available local resources of goods and services with an estimated capital of $ 2 billion. HH commanded providing $ 500 million o activate the launch of this development initiative.

HH donated $ 34 million to cover the need of UNRWA.

HH Efforts in Unifying the Arabs
The distinguished role and tireless efforts played by HH in cooperation with leaders of the Arab countries which lead to HH success in realizing historical Arab reconciliation, bridging the gap, overcoming the differences and enhancing positive atmosphere reflects his high position and great appreciation in the hearts of his brothers, Their Majesties and Highnesses and it manifests their national responsibility in facing the Arab Nations’ challenges and tackling its issues.

During the donors conferences which was convened in Kuwait during the period 1 -2 December 2010 under the patronage of HH the Amir, a Contribution of $ 500 million to East Sudan was announced by Kuwait for infrastructure projects and services. The money will be provided through Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development.

HH the Amir initiated a fraternal visit to UAE where he met HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nhayan, President of the United Arab Emirates, their highnesses and HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoom, Vice-President, Prime Minister and Absolute Monarch of Dubai. Then HH highness paid a visit to the Sultanate of Oman where he met His Majesty Qaboos, Sultan of Oman.
These fraternal visits were concluded with a visit by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoom, Vice President of UAE, Prime Minister and the Absolute Monarch of Dubai and Lt. General sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nehayaan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces to Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman in Muscat and with the presence of HH Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah. The meeting was prevailed by fraternal and friendship atmosphere, joint concern of the interest of the two countries and removing all obstacles. Gulf issues were also examined during the meeting within the framework of the GCC joint efforts to enhance cooperation among them and the blessed march of the GCC.
HH good offices were successful which reflected the good position that HH enjoy among the GCC leaders and it embodied HH spirit of responsibility, wisdom and far-sightedness.

HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah donated KD 1 Million to the Tour of Hope Project under HH name and Al Sabah Family. This tour will set off from Kuwait on a boat designed by the special team which consists of parents of the intellectual disabilities people towards New York where the headquarters of the United Nations then to the American Capital, Washington where the headquarters of the International Olympics in charge of people with intellectual disabilities. It will highlight the humanitarian and civilized role of Kuwait before the world and project the bright experience of Kuwait in the field of special-need care under the directions and blessings of HH the Amir.

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah announced on Tuesday 16th October 2012, an initiative of USD two billion for financing development projects in non-Arab Asian countries.

"In this context, I am pleased to announce the contribution of the State of Kuwait to that program in the amount of 300 million dollars. It is my hope that we can provide the proposed amount, through contributions from Member States of the ACD Forum" HH said in the opening speech of the first Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit.

During the meetings of the 33rd secession of the leaders of the GCC for Kuwait hosting of the First International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria, held in the end of January, the initiative of His Highness the Amir of Kuwait received a great deal of national and international welcome, due to its great importance while the Syrian people suffer very complicated living circumstances. In view of these tragic conditions, HH the Amir announced in the conference held in Kuwait January,30, 2013, the contribution of the State of Kuwait in the amount of 300 Million U.S dollars, to support the humanitarian situation of the Syrian people.
