Geography The Kingdom of Bahrain is an archipelago of low lying islands located in the Arabian Gulf ,a total of 711.9 square kilometers Land Area Lies between the east coast of Saudi Arabia and the Qatar peninsula at a latitude of 26° North . The capital is Manama .

Climate Summer: July-September, very hot and humid (Avg. 36°C).

Winter: December to February, cool or mild with occasional rain (10°C - 20°C).

Remaining months: March to May and October to November, warm with occasional pleasant breezes (20°C - 30°C).

Currency Bahraini Dinar (BD), constituted of 1000 fills

Economy In a region experiencing an oil boom, Bahrain has the fastest growing economy in the Arab world, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia found in January 2006.

Bahrain also has the freest economy in the Middle East according to the 2006 Index of Economic Freedom published by the Heritage Foundation
