State of Kuwait

Speech of His Majesty King Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al-Soud
King of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

in the Opening Session

In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the brotherly State of Kuwait,,,

Head of the Summit,,,

Dear esteemed attendees,,,

Assalamu Alikom Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakatu,,,

We, and the peoples of the Arab nation, look forward to specific results from this economic summit for a safe and prosperous future for the Arab and Muslim citizens everywhere. However important economy maybe, it can not be equal to the importance of life itself, or to the dignity, without which life has no meaning. We have witnessed atrocities and painful sights along the past days, and massacres executed under the eyes and ears of the whole world by a criminal gang that mercy and humanity have no place in their hearts.

The killers and their supporters forgot that the "Torah" said an eye for an eye, and did not say an eye is for a full city of eyes. Israel has to realize that the option of peace shall not be open for ever, and that the Arab Peace Initiative on the table today shall not remain their for ever.

Dear Brothers,,,

We great the martyrs of Gaza, and its heroes as well as its resistance, and great all who exerted their effort and their thoughts to stop the bleeding, particularly our brothers in Egypt, under the leadership of our brother Hosni Mubarak. To be honest, I have to say to our Palestinian brothers here that their separation is more dangerous to their case than the Israeli aggression, and to remind them that Allah the Almighty connected victory with unity and defeat with conflict, and to remember with them the Quran verse "And hold fast, all together, by the Rope which Allah (stretches out for you), and be not divided among yourselves"

My Brothers Leaders of the Arab Nation ,,,

I have to be frank and sincere with myself and with you, and to say that our political disagreement lead to our separation and division. Such disagreement has been and is still a support to the Israeli enemy, and to all who want to separate the Arabs to achieve regional goals on the account of our unity, dignity and hopes.

We, the leaders of the Arab nation, are all responsible for the weakness that hit our united situation, and our solidarity. I excuse none of us. What has passed has passed. I today call upon you all, in the name of Allah, then in the name of the martyrs of our children, women and old people in Gaza, in the name of the shed blood as a result of tyranny and aggression on our deal Palestinian land, in the name of dignity and pride, in the name of our disparate peoples, I call upon you and upon myself to forego our disagreements and to beat the belief of our enemies about us, and to have an honorable stand to be remembered by history, and to be the pride of our nation.

From here, allow me to announce in our name all that we passed the phase of disagreement, and opened the door of Arab brotherhood and unity for all Arabs without excuse or reservation, and that we shall face the future without our disagreements, being one line as a strong wall, quoting the words of Allah (and do not disagree so that not to fail and be weak)

My Dear Brothers,,,

Before I conclude my speech, I would like to announce on behalf of your brothers the people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, presenting the amount of one billion dollar as a contribution in the program proposed by this summit for the re-construction of Gaza, realizing that one drop of the shed Palestinian blood is worth more than all treasures on earth.

Asalamu Alikum Wa Rahmatullah Wa Barakato,,,
