HH Amir visits blind society, disabled, deaf clubs

 

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, visited Tuesday, 31st, July 2012, Kuwait Blind Society, where he was received by Society's Board Chairman Fayez Al-Azmi and Board members.

Sheikh Sabah congratulated the Society members with the holy month of Ramadan, and reiterated support and care for the blind. Al-Azmi welcomed Sheikh Sabah and his delegation.

Poet Awadh Al-Azmi delivered a poem, and then the Society gave His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince the first copies of the constitution of Kuwait written in Braille.

HH Amir, meanwhile, visited Kuwait Disabled Sports Club and was received by Deputy Director General of the Public Authority for Youth and Sports (PAYS) Sheikh Dr. Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, PAYS Acting Director General Jassem Yaqoub Al-Basara, Board Chairman of the Club Mahdi Al-Azmi and Board members.

Sheikh Sabah praised the achievements of the Disabled Club, and wished them good luck in the Paralympic games to be held in London following ongoing Olympics.

Al-Azmi welcomed HH the Amir, and pledged to exert efforts to achieve more victories in upcoming sporting events.He noted that the Club was participating in track and field and fending in London Paralympics.

Abdulrahman Al-Rashid then gave a table tennis show for the Amir.

His Highness the Amir then visited Kuwait Deaf Sport Club and was received by board chairman Mansour Al-Harbi.Sheikh Sabah praised the club for their service to the community, asserting the state's keenness to taking care of the deaf.

Al-Harbi commended the Amir's visit, and hoped future visits would follow.

The deaf club presented memorial shield on this occasion.

His Highness the Amir was accompanied by Minister of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and senior state officials.
