His Highness the Amir attends cadet graduation at military academy Society

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah attended on Wednesday a graduation ceremony at the Ali al-Sabah Military Academy for cadets graduating at the college and non-college levels.

Welcoming the Amir upon arrival at the ceremony site were First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak al-Sabah, Chief of General Staff Air Chief Marshal Fahad Ahmad al-Amir, and Director of the Military Academy Major General Rashid al-Masha'an and members of the Military Defense Council.

Among dignitaries attending the graduation ceremony were HH Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Sabah, former National Assembly house speaker Muhammad al-Adsani, Deputy chief of the National Guards Sheikh Misha'al al-Ahmad al-Sabah, HH prime minister Sheikh Nasser al-Muhammad al-Sabah, and Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah. Government officials, families of graduating students, and members of the public also attended the event.

Following the recitation of a few verses of the Holy Quran and a short speech by the Director of the Academy, HH the Amir handed out prizes to the best achieving student graduates.

Next some of the graduating students displayed a show of military skills and maneuvers, in effect ending the ceremony for this year's graduating class at the Academy.

After the ceremony Sheikh Jaber al-Mubarak told reporters that building viable armed forces began always from the ground level of military schools and training academies, without which one could not aspire to have able-bodied and sharp-minded military personnel.

He thanked the continuous backing the armed forces received from HH the prime minister and congratulated the graduating cadets for a job well done.
