His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah patronized and attended on Monday 16 April 2007, the graduation ceremony of the 11th class of officers and 34th class of army officers at Ali Al-Sabah Military College.

The ceremony was attended by H.H. the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Bahraini Prime Minister Sheikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa.

Upon arrival at the academy, H.H. the Amir was received by First Deputy Premier, Interior Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Army Chief of Staff Air Marshal Fahad Al-Amir, the academy's director and members of the military defense council.

Attendees included National Assembly (NA) Speaker Jassem Mohammad Al-Kharafi, senior members of Al-Sabah family, former NA Speaker Moahmmad Al-Adsani, Deputy National Guards Chief Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, H.H. the Premier Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, senior state officials, as well as the graduates' relatives.

During the celebration, the academy's director Lieutenant-General Rashed Al-Mash'aan said this is the first class to graduate with a bachelor in military sciences during the leadership of H.H. the Amir.

The ceremony included a parade by the graduates, a number of speeches, honoring distinguished graduates and reading the Amiri Decree regarding the graduates' new ranks.

After the ceremony, the academy's officers were introduced to H.H. the Amir and was presented with a memorable gift.
