Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah patronized on Monday graduation ceremony of the 33rd batch of police officers at Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences.

His Highness the Amir and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah patronized on Monday 30th April 2007, graduation ceremony of the 33rd batch of police officers at Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences.

H.H. the Amir's motorcade at the ceremony site was received by First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Undersecretary of the Interior Ministry Lieutenant General Nasser Ahmad Al-Othman, the assistant undersecretary of the training and instruction affairs, Major General Ahmad Abdul Lateef Al-Rujaib, General Director of Saad Al-Abdullah Academy Brigadier Dr. Hussein Ali Abdul Salam and senior officers.

The ceremony was attended by HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Acting National Assembly Speaker Dr. Mohammad Mohsen Al-Buseiri, Ruling Family members, former National Assembly Speaker Mohammad Yusuf Al-Adsani, H.H. the Premier Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, state officials and families of the graduates.

The ceremony started with the National Anthem, and one of the students recited verses from the Holy Quran. Later, the Academy's Director General gave out a speech, thanked HH the Amir for patronizing the event and affirmed that the graduates were keen on serving their country and HH the Amir with loyalty and devotion.

The graduates handed over the academy's flag to the 34th batch. The assistant of the general director of the academy of the support services, Brigadier Mohareb Eid Al-Abkal, recited the ministerial decree regarding appointing the graduates as officers in the police. Then the graduates swore in and HH the Amir handed them their certificates and prizes.

The General Director of the Academy presented HH the Amir with the commemoration plaque.
