His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Alآ¬Ahmad Alآ¬Jaber Alآ¬Sabah, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Alآ¬Ahmad Alآ¬Jaber Alآ¬Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, visited the Kuwait Army Officers' Club Wednesday June 24, 2015.
His Highness was received by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Chief of General Staff of the Army Lieutenant-General Mohammed Al-Khider and senior army commanders.
Addressing the officers, His Highness the Amir congratulated the Armed Forces on the Holy Month of Ramadan, hailing their national role in defending the nation against looming perils.
His Highness also urged all to do their utmost in order to safeguard national unity, security, and safety and to stand against any attempt to undermine it.
He also reminded personnel of the Armed Forces that they have the honor of defending the nation and protecting its territorial integrity.
"You should be aware of the sizeable risks and challenges haunting our region, which has become a flashpoint for continuing regional and international conflicts. Such threats jeopardize our highest interest and our livelihood sources, as well as the security and stability of the peoples of the entire region," His Highness said.
His Highness also added that the government spared no effort to develop all the services of the Armed Forces and to supply it with sophisticated military equipment and to provide them with high-level military training courses.
His Highness also hailed the army command for great efforts to upgrade the personnel's theoretical and practical military training level, praying to Allah almighty to protect Kuwait from all harms and perpetuate safety, security, and prosperity on it.
For his part, Lieutenant-General Al-Khider congratulated His Highness the Amir on the Holy Month of Ramadan and thanked him for visiting the Club.
He expressed pride and honor in the UN honoring of His Highness the Amir and proclaiming him as a 'Humanitarian Leader' and the State of Kuwait as an 'International Humanitarian Center', affirming such honoring represent a source of pride for all Kuwaitis.
Al-Khider also pointed out that the Armed Forces are well-aware and closely following recent events taking place in the region, reiterating the Kuwaiti army's preparation and readiness to do its best in protecting safety and security of Kuwait, countering all types of challenges and difficulties, and combating threats and risks that would harm the country's stability and safety.
