His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Alآ¬Ahmad Alآ¬Jaber Alآ¬Sabah, accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Alآ¬Ahmad Alآ¬Jaber Alآ¬Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, visited the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) Officers' Club late Wednesday June 24, 2015.
His Highness was received by KNG's Chief His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah, KNG's Undersecretary Major-General Hashim Al-Refaei, and a number of KNG senior commanders.
Addressing KNG's top officials, His Highness the Amir congratulated KNG's staff and commanders on the Holy Month of Ramadan, praying to Allah almighty to bring back the holy month with Kuwait and its people graced with blessings.
His Highness the Amir asserted the important role of the National Guard as the "first backup" of the armed forces and security bodies, adding that the Guards play an important role in protecting the nation, guarding the public and vital facilities.
"The current phase in the region is critical and it requires vigilance and readiness to preserve security of the country, its people, and residents, as well as the country's institutions and public facilities in cooperation with your partners in other military and security bureaus," His Highness said.
His Highness also highly appreciated the great role of KNG Chief His Highness Sheikh Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah and Sheikh Mishal for improving the military capabilities and expertise of the national guards.
His Highness the Amir also wished KNG the best in performing their duties and paid tribute for their late colleagues who sacrificed their lives for their country.
His Highness the Amir was accompanied by Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Minister of Amiri Diwan Affairs Sheikh Ali Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah, Director of the Amir's Office Ahmad Fahad Al-Fahad, Head of Amiri Protocol Sheikh Khaled Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah Al-Nasser Al-Sabah, Chief of His Highness Crown Prince Diwan Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Sabah, Head of Media and Cultural Affairs at the Amiri Diwan Youssef Hamad Al-Roumi, and a number of Al-Sabah family members.
