HH Amir pays Ramadhan visits

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah accompanied by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and deputy head of National Guard Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, visited Kuwait Deaf Sports Club Sunday evening.

Sheikh Sabah was received by Information Minister and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, director general of the Public Authority for Youth and Sport (PAYS) Major-General retired Faisal Al-Jazzaf, Club's Board Chairman Essa Karam and board members.

Sheikh Sabah commended the active role of the chairman and board members in serving the deaf people, wishing success of their administration.Karam, in a speech to His Highness the Amir, congratulated Sheikh Sabah on the holy month of Ramadhan, and expressed content for his visit.He thanked PAYS for removing all obstacles facing the Club's participation in sport tournaments. Following Karam' welcome speech, His Highness the Amir opened Sabah Al-Ahmad Theater, after which Saad Mohammad Al-Kandari recited a poem. A memorial shield was presented to the Amir.

His Highness the Amir also visited Kuwait Disabled Sports Club and was received by Sheikh Salman and Club's board chairman Shafi Mohammad Al-Hajri and board members.
Sheikh Sabah thanked the chairman and members of the board for their relentless efforts to promoting sport among the disabled.

Al-Hajri, in a speech, appreciated the visit of His Highness the Amir and noted that the club, since its establishment in 1977, achieved many accomplishments.

Table tennis players Khalifa Al-Khalifa and Dhari Al-Azmi displayed a performance before the Amir, and fencers Abdullah Al-Rudai and Sanad Al-Balouchi demonstrated their skills for the Kuwaiti leader.A memorial shield was then presented to the Amir.

His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah also visited Kuwait Blind Society where he was received by Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Thikra Al-Rashidi, Society board chairman Fayez Lafi Al-Azmi and board members.

Sheikh Sabah congratulated the Society members on the Muslims' fasting month of Ramadhan, reiterating the government's keenness to providing all care and assistance for the blind.

Al-Azmi thanked His Highness the Amir for the visit, then poet Saif Al-Mutairi recited a poem on the occasion. A memorial shield was presented to His Highness the Amir.

His Highness the Amir was accompanied during the visits by Minister of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Amiri Diwan Minister Sheikh Ali Jarrah Al-Sabah, senior government officials and Sheikhs.
